Job Overview

EdgeCraft is looking for a responsible, detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team at High Court Road, Rawalpindi.

The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily accounts, monitoring cash flow, handling supplier and customer payments, and supporting inventory and cost control for our woodworking and manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, good command of Microsoft Excel, and practical experience with accounting software. Experience in manufacturing, furniture, woodworking, construction or a similar business environment will be preferred.

This position requires accuracy, honesty, confidentiality and the ability to manage financial records independently while coordinating with the management, sales and production teams.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial records, ledgers and account reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, financial reports and data analysis.
  • Experience using accounting software or any ERP/accounting systems.
  • Understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase records and expense management.
  • Ability to prepare financial statements, cash-flow reports and monthly account summaries.
  • Basic knowledge of Pakistani taxation, withholding tax and sales tax documentation will be preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management, stock reconciliation and manufacturing cost accounting will be an advantage.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Honest, responsible and capable of handling confidential financial information.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with different departments.
  • Candidate must be able to work on-site at our Rawalpindi office.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate records of daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, receipts and expenses.
  • Accounts Management: Maintain customer and supplier ledgers, general accounts, outstanding balances and payment records.
  • Cash & Bank Reconciliation: Monitor daily cash transactions, maintain cash books, and reconcile bank statements with accounting records.
  • Purchase & Expense Records: Verify supplier invoices, purchase bills, expense vouchers and supporting financial documents.
  • Customer Payments: Track customer payments, advance payments, outstanding invoices and overdue receivables.
  • Supplier Payments: Maintain vendor accounts, schedule payments and reconcile supplier statements.
  • Inventory Accounting: Coordinate with the production and store teams to track raw material purchases, stock consumption and inventory balances.
  • Production Cost Tracking: Maintain cost records for MDF, plywood, laminated boards, edge banding materials, CNC work and other workshop expenses.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales summaries, expense reports, receivable/payable statements and other management reports.
  • Payroll Support: Assist in calculating salaries, attendance-related deductions, advances and staff payment records.
  • Documentation: Ensure invoices, receipts, vouchers, bank records and other accounting documents are properly organized and maintained.
  • Internal Coordination: Work with management, sales, purchasing and production departments to ensure accurate financial information.
  • Cost Control: Highlight accounting discrepancies, unnecessary expenses, unusual cost variations and opportunities to improve financial efficiency.
