Job Overview

EdgeCraft is looking for an experienced Tender & Business Development Executive to identify, pursue and secure government, semi-government, institutional and corporate tender opportunities related to furniture, interiors, woodworking, cabinetry, office furniture, CNC work and associated products/services.

The candidate will be responsible for continuously searching for relevant tender opportunities, evaluating eligibility requirements, coordinating technical and commercial proposals, completing vendor registrations and prequalifications, preparing and submitting bids within deadlines, and following opportunities through evaluation and contract award.

The primary objective of this role is to generate new business for EdgeCraft through tenders, RFQs, prequalifications and institutional procurement opportunities.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in tendering, bidding, institutional sales, government contracting or business development.
  • Proven experience finding and successfully participating in government and private-sector tenders.
  • Practical knowledge of PPRA, e-PADS and other relevant tender/procurement portals.
  • Experience with vendor registration, enlistment, prequalification, EOI, RFQ, RFP and tender submissions.
  • Ability to understand tender documents, eligibility criteria, technical specifications, BOQs and commercial requirements.
  • Experience preparing technical and financial bid documentation.
  • Understanding of bid security, earnest money, performance guarantees, tender fees and required statutory documentation.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PDF/document-preparation skills.
  • Strong written communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate with estimating, production, design and management teams to prepare competitive quotations.
  • Existing knowledge of government departments, universities, hospitals, banks, corporate organizations, contractors or institutional buyers will be highly preferred.
  • Previous experience with furniture, interiors, construction, fit-outs, woodworking or related industries is preferred but tender-winning experience should be more important than material procurement experience.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously search PPRA, e-PADS, Punjab PPRA, government departments, universities, hospitals, authorities, corporations and private organizations for relevant opportunities.
  • Identify tenders suitable for EdgeCraft's capabilities, including office furniture, workstations, executive desks, conference tables, cabinetry, kitchens, wardrobes, interior fit-outs, CNC work and woodworking services.
  • Maintain a daily/weekly Tender Opportunity Pipeline showing tender value, organization, deadline, eligibility, probability and current status.
  • Obtain tender documents and perform an initial bid/no-bid assessment.
  • Review eligibility criteria, specifications, BOQs, delivery requirements, commercial conditions and submission requirements.
  • Coordinate with EdgeCraft management, design and production teams to obtain costing, specifications, drawings, samples and delivery commitments.
  • Prepare complete technical and financial proposals.
  • Complete and maintain EdgeCraft registrations and vendor enlistments/prequalifications with government, semi-government and corporate organizations.
  • Manage documentation including company profiles, NTN/GST documents, bank documents, experience certificates, affidavits, authorization letters and supporting documents.
  • Arrange and track bid securities, earnest money, performance guarantees and tender fees where required.
  • Submit bids accurately and before deadlines through electronic portals or physical submission.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, tender openings, clarification meetings and site visits where required.
  • Monitor submitted tenders and follow up on technical evaluations, financial evaluations and contract awards.
  • Maintain records of submitted, won and lost tenders and identify reasons for unsuccessful bids.
  • Build relationships with institutional and corporate buyers and identify upcoming procurement opportunities before tender publication where appropriate.
  • Work toward agreed monthly/quarterly tender submission and contract-acquisition targets.
