Job Overview

EdgeCraft is hiring a Sliding Saw Cutting Machine Operator for our workshop in Rawalpindi.

The selected candidate will be responsible for operating the sliding saw cutting machine, cutting MDF, plywood, laminated boards, and furniture panels according to cutting plans and production requirements.

This role is important for maintaining cutting accuracy, reducing material waste, and ensuring high-quality output for cabinets, wardrobes, kitchens, media walls, and other interior woodwork projects. The candidate should be careful with measurements, safety procedures, and production quality.

Requirements

  • Experience in operating a sliding saw cutting machine is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MDF, plywood, laminated board, and furniture panel cutting.
  • Ability to read measurements and follow cutting plans accurately.
  • Good understanding of workshop safety and machine handling.
  • Responsible, punctual, and quality-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work with the production and workshop team.
  • Experience in furniture, cabinet, wardrobe, or kitchen production will be a plus.
  • Candidate should be able to work from our Rawalpindi workshop.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the sliding saw cutting machine safely and accurately.
  • Cut MDF, plywood, laminated sheets, and furniture panels according to cutting plans.
  • Check measurements before cutting to avoid mistakes and material waste.
  • Follow instructions from the production supervisor and design team.
  • Maintain cutting quality and clean finishing.
  • Support workshop production for cabinets, wardrobes, kitchens, and media wall projects.
  • Keep the machine and work area clean and organized.
  • Report machine issues or material problems to the supervisor.
  • Help reduce waste and improve workshop efficiency.
